Nutter
In my family, when someone is acting crazier than usual, we call them a nutter. This is an affectionate term. It usually means someone has done something productive with their mania, like the time my mother made fifty five Xmas trees out of barbed wire and decorated our front yard with them. Note that there are only two houses on the road I grew up on, so there was no public shaming. The barbed wire Xmas trees are a fond family memory for me.

Last night I was sitting in the bathtub, minding my own business, thinking about how I had a box full of lipsticks I didn't want anymore. The thought of them started to bother me. I hated thinking about wasting anything as colorful and symbolically rich as lipstick.

I looked around, and immediately, I thought, "lipstick cakes on tile." Of course!

Now the issue is just getting them off. I think my chemically-rich pal Didi 7 will work just fine.

Most importantly, it's been over a year since I've been able to keep it up for any kind of sisyphean art craziness. I'm virile again with mania, thank god. This was good practice.

Dayum! That shit is... the shit. Most excellent nutter inspired genius.

I need to be more ambitious next time I get a case of the fruit loops. Last bout, I just convinced my best friend and my husband that Al Qaeda had poisoned the water supply. Ho hum.

I hear you. Sometimes it's tough to get the nutter direction going on. And rolling with it. I almost stopped this thing in process a bunch of times because I kept thinking I was being too crazy. But I figure I dispel it in this kind of thing and it works out better.

And I was envisioning little cakes made out of melted and reformed lipstick on on individual tiles, wondering just how many old lipstick tubes there were that could create so many cakes!

It's quite beautiful, what you've done. Don't remove it until you've documented it well. Or maybe you should remove the tile, create an installation piece that travels from gallery to gallery and rethink your bathroom decor.

If you very carefully leaned against one of the walls, and then gently rolled yourself across the tiles, would you get covered with this pattern like a wallpaper of temporary tattoos? I don't think I could resist trying it if it were my bathroom!

For getting the lipstick off the tiles again, when you can bring yourself to do it, I'd suggest trying plain dishsoap on a rag. I had a job once where I got a lot of lipstick stains on my clothes (wow, that sounds so naughty! But it wasn't) and dishsoap and hairspray were the very best lipstick-stain removers I ever found.
